There's an easy to miss modifier in our rules for long-term deals to players coming off ELCs (as can be found here).

- All contracts offered for players coming off their ELC will have an extra 10% added to their base salary for every year of the contract beyond the 4th year, if your offer is for 5-7 years. Contract offers of 1-4 years in length will not be affected. All other players are not affected by this rule.

You can sign Pilon for 4 years at 4M or 5 years at 4.4M.
Similarly, you can sign Konecny for 4 years at 3.2M or 5 years at 3.52M (though I think that gets rounded one way or the other so maybe 3.5M).

That leaves a 22-man roster at 55.64M, with some room to spare (Robertson, Holloway and Minulin can go down without waivers; Trenin with; that clears an extra 1.2M with 600k replacements). Fagemo down is another 800k room if needed. That's enough to handle reasonable offer sheets if they come, and Makar and Pettersson can also be stashed in an emergency.
