Joey Moss Passes

Not sure why I didn't last week but it is NHL related. The Oilers and Eskimos long time locker room attendant Joey Moss passed away at 57 last week. Joey was brought into the Oilers organization by Gretzky when he was dating Moss' sister back in his early days in Edmonton. Joey will likely be honored in Edmonton by both organizations. Many ideas have been put forward including a statue next to the Great One's, renaming the community rink at Rogers, an accessible park, a renamed road.

The day he passed, the radio shows spent the evening and the next day getting interviews from past players and coaches telling a variety of stories.

He passed after falling this past summer and breaking his hip and the complications that came with it.

Rest in Peace Joey!

The stories on this were really great to see. What a great story. RIP Joey hope you are scoring hatty's and giving apples to past heroes up in the big rink in the sky buddy.
