Reasoning:
Danault is the last person I was going to trade since acquiring him in the Seguin trade. But, NY inquired about my centers and I wanted to bring back Toews where he belongs.

Confirmed. I wasn't looking move Toews he's a top scoring player who put up 40 last year. But I was searching hard for a C with good DEF and high FA so that Novak can shift to wing. Couple that with slight savings (200k) and 4-5 years younger, it made sense.
