Since nobody objected, I'll start simming the preseason tonight. I believe the first two days are Eastern Conference + Central Division. Get those lines in!

Oh, yeah, I deleted it a while ago and meant to tell you to register a new account. I'll open up user registration shortly so that you can do that.

I simulated two nights. They're up on the bottom of the schedule page (I'll move that shortly). I fastsignrd some garbage backup for Washington, who really could use some 70+ OV goalies.

More games are up. You can guess which involved teams with auto'd lines.

My team has 5 guys 90+ in hitting, and Novak, the least defensive forward I have in my top 6 had 12 TOTAL PIMs last year and 8 TOTAL PIMs the year before that....I think he may be learning from the wrong set of guys....

Gotta love a brawl with nine seconds left in a preseason game. My kids went up against EDM's NHLers lol.

I think my favourite preseason stat is that the player who has taken the most faceoffs for Detroit, Wyatt Johnston, has won just 7.7% of them. He has, by my math, won 6 faceoffs and lost 71. Only 17 players in the league have taken more faceoffs than he has lost

The thing is that Johnston was my 4th line centre, the only reason he was taking so many is I had him on PK1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Alex Barkov is the preseason scoring champion, but only because I held Adam Beckman out of the last game.

Thanks to Nicholas for doing the sim last night. Unfortunately, he missed uploading the teams.ehm file, so I had to revert some of the changes to what was in the zip file. I re-entered updated lines but some other changes may have been lost. I believe it's just staff training assignments on the Manage Training page in GMO so if you entered any of those since the last sim, you'll need to do it again, sorry.

We will have Waiver Day in the near future. I have to sort out the in-game schedule and simmer schedule first, and settle on rule changes. In addition to Waiver Day, I'm considering purging the rights of any unsigned prospects over age 23 (draft+5 year) so we clear our prospects lists of 30-year-old German 7th round picks. If anyone has objections to this, let me know ASAP... or just sign those guys if they're worth anything.

All unsigned prospects have been returned to juniors.

I have updated the file with a brand new shiny 2010-11 schedule, copied from hockeyreference. Since games started on October 7 that year (a Thursday), I shuffled everything to start next Thursday (October 14). For the record, our league alignment/name changes required the following substitutions: Atlanta Thrashers:Columbus Blue Jackets,Minnesota Wild:Winnipeg Jets,Phoenix Coyotes:Arizona Coyotes,Columbus Blue Jackets:Minnesota Wild.

If you're worried that's still too distant, remember, we still need to do our world-famous Waiver Day. I'm proposing Tuesday for that, so you have until Monday night to sort out who you want exposed. Note that you can still waive players after Waiver Day; it's just more effort to do so and riskier.
