I can't believe Spezza is getting bad calls against him in real life AND imagination life! Let me tell you.....oh, wait, right, this is a sim summary. And I didn't have a game. Very well.
It was 'Rivals Night' with most of the games this evening.
The Jets are welcomed to the 'Curse of 1st' by losing 2-1 to the Wild, where Calvin Pickard picked the pucks out of the air with ease minus 1.
The Flames decided to win a game, shutting out the Sabres 6-0.
Detroit beat Colorado in OT 5-4 with a game that would do the 90's rivalry proud since, of course, there was an attempt to injure. Detroit's Erik Johnson will be out 2 months, which earns Colorado's James Greenway a 8 game suspension.
A pair of 3-3 ties, with Boston, Florida, NYI and NYR all tying each other. Not at the same time. This isn't WWE Day 1 - and if it were, we'd need a last second 5th team that beat everybody (spoiler: it probably wouldn't be Montreal)
And finally, the Kings defeated the Sharks 3-1, as for the second night in a row LA's Jonathan Bernier put on a stellar goaltending performance. I haven't seen such consistent EHM goaltending before. Please award this man the Vezina.
