Mattias Samuelsson (78), 1.325M retained for next 2 seasons (=6.264M penalty to be paid off by VAN this season, =0.395M cap hit reduction, assuming 22 games left this season).

Confirmed. My team stinks defensively, and Samuelsson should help with that, plus I can use him as a rental with Carter's LTIR. I'm a bit wary of his cap hit so I asked for as much retention as Vancouver could take this season, but anyway he's young enough that his contract is moveable should that become necessary.

Vancouver agrees. This opens a space to move Miller back to defense, and Foot will fill the forward vacancy.

Cap space I have, should allow me to re-sign my players, along with MacTavish and possibly a UFA.

I accidentally entered this with SJ 1st instead of TB 1st. I'll fix it once trades are allowed again.
