Time to leap forward into spring, where 3-3 ties are frowned upon in favour of 4-3 OT wins. FLA didn't get the memo and let PIT score with the goalie pulled, with the game ending in a tie and leaving the battle for 8th in the East still far from settled. Detroit's OTW over LA is notable due to its, uh, implausibility. NYR got a shot off in OT but gave up two to CHI - rookie mistake. CGY beat CBS 5-3 in a battle for draft lottery odds.

New Jersey 3rd place in the East, did not expect that. Maybe I should've picked them over Buffalo.... Looking at you Nick.
