Tonight featured 14 games and 28 teams, and perhaps fittingly was a bloodbath. A few noteworthy occurrences:
- Home teams dominated on the night, going a collective 8-4-2.
- There were two separate 3-3 ties, but in a shake-up neither game featured Buffalo.
- Three separate games featured a diving penalty, and 4 games combined to bring us 6 fights.

There were also two ATI penalties resulting in suspensions. Detroit's Jimmy Snuggerud took out Nashville's Ryan McDonagh for two months earning him an 8 game suspension, while Ottawa's James Winkler injured Boston's Oleg Misyul for just under two months, netting him a 7 game suspension.

First game of the season we concede fewer than 3 goals, wowee.
Might need to take a look at this.

Well we knocked Winkler out of the game ultimately.... by getting punched in the face 3 times

We were due for one of these but it didn't have to be this lopsided.
