Schneider is perfect stay-at-home defensemen signed under very affordable contract for the long run. He's young, great, cheap and consistent. Received a lot of interest on him in the recent weeks. BUT with Jones, Broberg, Chychrun and Pickering already in the line-up I just can't find enough ice time and can't fit him to play as a top-4 D like he should. Rubins can play a third pair for now. Burmistrov is a pending UFA, but I'll take a gamble on him, even though I know with the good he brings, I know the bad he brings and that's his undisciplined play, but I like his firepower so hopefully it will work out well for our team.

I confirm the trade.

Schneider is a great upgrade to my defensive line and that is my main goal for this summer. The defensive line needs a rebuild and major improvements. He has a good contract and is a long-term solution.

Burmistrov will be missed, he played most of the season from the lower line and still scored enough points. But it is a price I am willing to pay. Rubins was not in my plans for next season. Therefore, I have no problem adding him to the trade.
