detroit sends 2012 #1 draft pick and D Orlov (62) to St louis
In return St louis send D Erik johnson (81)
Reasoning : Erik will look good next to Mike Green and is a former # 1 pick himself. He is NHL ready versus my #1 pick my take a few years and Detroit is struggling at D.

Confirmed.
Whether Erik Johnson stays in St.Louis or not, I see my team finishing 7th or 8th in the West and losing to Columbus, Phoenix or LA. Still think my D's solid with Kulikov, Regehr and Hamhuis so trading Johnson for a potential 1st overall pick sounds good. If Orlov develops into a 4th d-man I'll be happy.

After some consideration/consultation, we're going to Reject this deal but it certainly has a chance to be re-worked. In the end it comes down to the DET 1st being potentially very high if not top 2 and Orlov being added to that (not that he's a game changer, but he's something), the difference is too great between that package and Johnson. Please PM if you guys need to talk it over further.
