The Blue Jackets' winning streak finally comes to a close with a flat effort against the Blackhawks. Joonas Donskoi will be able to ice his face for the next two games after Ben Eager beat it mercilessly for injuring Brian Campbell for a month. Home teams go just 2-4-1 on the night as EHM is up to its tricks. The Dallas Stars give two points to the Sharks by allowing a 6 on 5 goal and then Ryan Getzlaf's OT game winner. The Ducks prevail in a skills competition over the Red Wings. The Islanders win the battle of the Big Apple. The Bolts beat the Flyers.

I think you meant to say:

The Lightning lay down an epic beatdown on the loser Flyers. Suck it, ****s.

I think the most impressive think about that game - besides Thornton scoring 2 goals, including the GTG with Allen pulled, and still being in a goddamn slump - is Heatley throwing 6 hits and having 2 takeaways. What a two-way monster. Well, also Setoguchi scoring a hat trick, but no buddy, I don't feel bad for trading you.

11 points up on LA with 13 games to go virtually guarantees home ice, but 3 points on Phoenix isn't much of a cushion. Only a month to go, let's do this.

I wish I felt bad about being so disliked in EHEC, but I actually enjoy it. Big Bad Bolts.

........yeah they don't win division title after division title........

they didnt win the presidents trophy or the WCF two years ago....no that must have been a different team.

You're also not mentioning the Canucks have lost to the Stanley Cup Champion 3 years in a row. I don't think any other team can say that.

Yep. Nothing more glamorous than being runner-up year after year.

There are sled hockey teams that could win the Northwest Division title.

People riot all the time in LA and BOS, but nobody says shit.

Embrace what hate? I honestly don't think we are the most hated team in the league at all, I would say Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago are ahead of us.

Maybe he meant this riot from 2012, in Amherst. (Which is kinda like saying a riot in Montreal is the same as one in Toronto.)

Plenty cool on my own and Vancouver like or dislike has nothing to do with it. Frankly, overall, I don't give a shit. Couldn't care less if the Canucks win or lose. Would love to visit Vancouver someday. I'll just make sure it's not the night the Canucks get eliminated from the playoffs.

There was a riot couple years back when the Lakers and Celtics were in the NBA final.

Also BOS had a little mini-riot when they won the cup I believe. there were some cars torched outside of the arena and what not.

I'm okay with the 'Nucks.

They pass my two-part test:

1) they're a Canadian-based NHL team, and
2) they're not the Maple Leafs

I used to like Vancouver (9 year old me had a Pavel Bure jersey in 1994, in Ontario), but somewhere along the line they pissed me off. The fans don't bug me, most of the ones I know are cool. I'm not a fan of AV and they're a bit of an underwhelming team.

In retrospect, rooting for Vancouver would have been better than the Toronto/Columbus tandem I root for now... :?
