A crazy third period in Washington shows that Winnipeg is in mid-season form with the 3-1 collapses. The Blue Jackets mostly regular lineup puts together a dominant effort against the Blues. da Hawks outplay the Preds, but fall anyway. Florida and Tampa auto lines are victorious.

Are you kidding? I fucking LOVE that song! :D

I wasn't sure if anyone would actually get the reference though, so congrats for that.

I just spent an (un)productive 30 minutes at work listening to GWAR vids on youtube. (The "Horror of Yig" is an awesome metal song btw.) So, thanks for that. I'd forgotten how much I used to blast this shit in my car about...20 years ago or something.

Also, GWAR is from my hometown.

Haha that's awesome. They're actually gonna be in Calgary on tour next month and I've always wanted to see them live...

You should go.

And wear a trashbag.

Seriously.

I'd have to find out for in advance that they're not going to cover Carry On My Wayward Son as part of the set. I don't think I could take it. But yeah, it should be a good show. Same venue as the My Chemical Romance show that I walked out of, heh.

i will never forget when i first heard "The Salaminizer" by GWAR and realized it was their take on "Gangsta, Gansta" by NWA. my head nearly exploded. my band immediately covered it, but i always felt i should do more to spread the word. thanks for the memories

You're not playing a rusty trombone like I thought you would be.

Was "Dress Like A Ghetto Apostle" night a big deal at the venue you were playing at?

the venue was Tomas (corner of 19th and Kilborn, Milwaukee WI), the night was Halloween 1991 and the costume (we played EVERY gig in costume of some sort, not just Halloween, and never the same twice) was "The People's Front of Judea" (the splitters!) from "Life of Brian"
