An award has been determined in the Marc-Andre Fleury arbitration case.
Terms: 2 years
GM comps & proposal: 4.5M; Lehtonen
Agent comps & proposal: 5.8M; Lundqvist, Luongo, J.Gibson
Fleury's agent made the case that he's probably the 4th best goalie by ratings, behind his three comps. An apt comparison, one that I agree with. Fleury is clearly due a raise, given that he puts up good regular-season numbers, and has nearly always done so even when playing for sub-par Leafs teams. Fleury has a number of good seasons left in him, and his next contract will also serve as a benchmark for the next set of younger, similar goalies coming up for arbitration over the next few years. I'm going to tend towards the agent in this case, seeing no reason to reduce Fleury's salary: 5.5M for 2 years.

There were no qualifying offers from other GMs on them, so they're re-signed as long as your bid at least matches the calculator number.
