Gardiner should have a 90+ shot with low 70's everything else except hitting; nice little sniper with a good CON. I spent my ceiling points on Diffley so his minimum line should read OFF 63 70 70 DEF 80 75 80. He will be inexpensive too because of his draft spot. Englund will be a one-way clobberer; despite his positioning ceiling, his current DEF line reads 75 71 75 and you can expect to see his Hitting reach at least 89. Chebykin will be a cheap low-CON bottom six forward who can crash and bang plus chip in 10-15 goals each year. Laberge will be a similar player, but a much low-CON so him getting dealt is likely,

Post yours. Always good to know other teams prospects so you are familiar with them on deadline day; only so many draft picks to go around and want to see lots of action this year!

1. C/L Pavel Zacha - FLA 1st (12th overall) in 2015
Code: Select all
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2012-13 Bili Tygri Liberec (U20) CZE 39 14 26 40 26 -1
2013-14 Bili Tygri Liberec (U20) CZE 10 6 11 17 64 2
2013-14 Bili Tygri Liberec CZE 38 4 4 8 10 -2
2013-14 HC Bernatky nad Jizerou Cze2 12 4 5 9 6 -2
2014-15 Sarnia Sting OHL 37 16 18 34 56 5
2015-16 St. John's Ice Caps AHL 46 14 18 32 20 -29
2015-16 Sarnia Sting OHL 1 2 0 2 2 -2
The key piece coming back in the Ales Hemsky deal, Zacha had a slow start to his pro career but has since come on in a big way and the Ice Caps have followed suit. Plagued with inconsistent play but capable of adapting to any style you want, Zacha is believed to be pro ready but Montreal doesn't seem to be in any rush to throw him into the fire. Nevertheless, should be in the big leagues by next season at the latest.
2. C/R Fredrik Forsberg - MTL 1st (29th overall) in 2015
Code: Select all
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2014-15 Leksand IF SWE 59 38 33 71 17 32
2015-16 St. John's Ice Caps AHL 43 9 14 23 10 -14
2015-16 Leksand IF SWE 3 1 2 3 0 -1
Second year doing this and here's my first (and only) prospect in the top 5 that the Habs actually drafted. How 'bout that. Anywho, not unlike Zacha, Forsberg took some time adjusting to his new team in North America but has been coming on lately. Is already a strong (though not exactly consistent) shooter but still needs to round out the rest of his game. Originally expected to need some more AHL seasoning, if his steep development curve continues, could land himself in Montreal by the start of next season.
3. D Andrei Mironov - OTT 3rd (67th overall) in 2013
Code: Select all
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 HC MVD Rus3 59 1 8 9 87 -1
2012-13 HC MVD Rus3 6 0 1 1 0 -1
2012-13 Dynamo Moscow KHL 40 0 5 5 26 3
2013-14 Binghamton Senators AHL 17 0 1 1 14 -51
2013-14 Dynamo Moscow RUS 38 0 8 8 19 -25
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 82 1 12 13 26 -5
2015-16 St. John's Ice Caps AHL 46 3 1 4 14 -23
Was #5 on last season's list but some steady development sees him jump up to #3 on this year's. He's inconsistent (seemingly a theme with my prospects) and lacking a good shot but is more than capable in every other way. Already considered by many spectators to be better than a number of D currently residing in Quebec, the Habs seem to be waiting to over-ripen this particular prospect but it's very unlikely he won't be seeing action with the big club by next season at the latest.
4. L/R Stephen Harper - CHI 5th (145th overall) in 2013
Code: Select all
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 Erie Otters OHL 63 24 11 35 14 -36
2012-13 Erie Otters OHL 67 18 20 38 24 -38
2013-14 Erie Otters OHL 70 73 41 114 29 37
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 17 4 3 7 0 0
2014-15 Erie Otters OHL 65 72 37 109 32 33
2015-16 St. John's Ice Caps AHL 46 13 7 20 2 -22
Was #3 on last season's list but falls this year more as a result of Mironov's development than any fault of his own. Harper's been a go to sniper for every team he's played with and continues to be the trigger man in St. John's. Not terribly consistent and not the most rounded player but if he continues to develop as he has, could join the Habs by next season.
5. D Nolan De Jong - TB 5th (150th overall) in 2013
Code: Select all
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2013-14 Peterborough Petes OHL 77 12 21 33 54 40
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 84 2 12 14 22 6
2015-16 St. John's Ice Caps AHL 46 6 15 21 14 -3
Tampa's #1 prospect last season shows up as the Habs #5 this year after being a part of the Brenden Morrow deal at last season's trade deadline. There were some other candidates that were considered for this spot but De Jong gets the nod for his pro-readiness. Unlike the rest of the fellows on this here list, De Jong is a very consistent contributor who has a very well-rounded game. Similar to Mironov, De Jong is believed to be a more capable defenseman than some currently in Montreal but is getting some extra seasoning with the Ice Caps.

1. Colin White (C)
Born: 25/1/1997 in Hannover, Massachussets, USA
Age: 18
Height/Weight: 6-0/183
Shoots: R
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2015-16 Texas Stars AHL 48 15 18 33 24 -7
The Dallas Stars' first selection, picked 12th overall in the 2015 NHL entry draft, american centreman is making strides in the AHL as there was no reason for him to keep playing in the USHL, he already grew to be one of the most scoring forward in the Texas Stars and he can push for the spot, come play-off time. But for now, he still has to work on his finishing ability and defensive aspects of the game.
2. Nicolas Meloche (D)
Born: 18/7/1997 in LaSalle, Québec, CANADA
Age: 18
Height/Weight: 6-3/199
Shoots: R
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2015-16 Texas Stars AHL 24 2 1 3 20 1
A young two-way defenseman in the making who got boosts before the season started has a long way ahead of him but Nicolas will get as much time as needed and he is still just 18 years old. He looks to make more serious push for the spot in the next pre-season camp. Until then, he remains to work his game all-around with his fellow young prospects on the back-end.
3. Jonas Siegenthaler (D)
Born: 6/5/1997 in Zürich, SWITZERLAND
Age: 18
Height/Weight: 6-3/220
Shoots: L
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2015-16 ZSC Lions Zurich SUI 10 1 4 5 2 2
Jonas was signed to ELC before the season started and was anticipated to start the season in Texas but got injured shortly after that and was loaned back to his mother team in Switzerland. He has all the tools to become a very simillar player to Kyle Quincey and Dallas Stars management is looking forward to see him in the Texas Stars uniform in the beginning of the next season and watch and aid his developing process.
4. Ivan Barbashev (LW)
Born: 14/12/1995 in Moscow, RUSSIA
Age: 20 Height/Weight: 6-0/185
Shoots: L
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2015-16 Texas Stars AHL 48 3 14 17 6 -21
Ivan Barbashev is an interesting prospect, a part of the Joel Armia deal along with Alex Coulombe, has a very nice upside who owns excellent vision and outstanding playmaking ability, but needs to work on his shot. Despite not being the biggest, he has nice hitting cellings and can grow in to complete two-way winger who can complement any forward line. Needs to work on his game-to-game consistency though.
5. Alex Coulombe (D)
Born: 9/4/1995 in Granby, QUÉBEC
Age: 20
Height/Weight: 6-4/190
Shoots: L
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2015-16 Texas Stars AHL 47 2 5 7 31 -18
Yet, another two-way defenseman from Quebec province, Alex Coulombe is showing potential to be both offensive threat and a defensive punisher with excellent stickhandling and great hockey sense for the passes, fine skating stride and leadership qualities. However, he needs to work on his discipline. Very promising project all-in-all.

McCoshen, MacInnis, Jacobs and Hawryluk would top the list, but they've all played 40+ games this season so I consider them graduated despite being Calder-eligible.
1. Ryan Pilon (D) - practically a Derek Forbort clone. He doesn't have the big shot or the top-end speed, but he makes a crisp outlet pass and is mature beyond his years. Has recovered just fine from an injury and has 11P / +15 in 23 GP in the AHL, so he'll be up sooner than later.
2. Matthew Spencer (D) - another top all-around defense prospect. Spencer has had a rough time in the AHL this season and needs a lot more work - on his puckhandling and skating in particular. Thankfully, he is putting in the hours at practice and there's no urgent need for his services on a crowded Sharks blueline anytime soon. Will likely spend another full season in the AHL, much like Ian McCoshen (who put up just 8 points in his AHL rookie season but exploded for 56 the following year).
3. Daniel Vladar (G) - A solid, if unspectacular goalie prospect, playing overseas due to the temporary goalie logjam at both pro levels. He has an impressive 1.00 GAA and .966 sv% in... one game. What the hell, HC Kladno? At 6'6, he's one of a growing (heh) breed of ginormous NHL goalies who cover 90% of the net in the butterfly; nonetheless, he's a little quicker than a guy like Bishop.
4. Blake Siebenaler (D) - Yet another offensive defenseman, Siebenaler is tearing up the OHL again in his last junior season. Under normal circumstances, he would already be playing in the AHL, but the Sharks chose to give him extra time in juniors and delay signing his ELC. Some would argue that Nikolas Brouillard is further along in his development (Brouillard already has 33 points in the AHL), but Siebenaler has a more projectable frame and isn't as likely to topple over from a stiff breeze. He's also a reasonably hard worker, which is good, because his defensive skills are mediocre by OHL standards and years away from NHL-level.
5. Roman Dymacek (LW) - A late 2015 pick, Dymacek surprised pundits by earning a contract and a coveted U20 AHL spot right away. He has a respectable total of 19 goals in the AHL - an impressive figure by most standards, but still only good enough for 6th on a Barracuda team averaging 4.6 goals per game (!). Dymacek has a lethal, NHL-calibre shot, but not much else stands out in his game. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to snag a spot next season, as Quinton Howden is the only left wing on the Sharks signed through 2016-17.
Honourable mentions: Nikolas Brouillard, Jaroslav Pavelka

Come on boys, how are you going to trade all your prospects at the deadline if no one knows who they are?
edit: Nice to see former TB draftee De Jong get some love.

1. Mathew Barzal, C/RW -- NYR 1st 2015, (25th overall)

2015-16 Anaheim Mighty Ducks NHL 5 2 2 4 4 0
2015-16 Cincinnati Mighty Ducks AHL 48 13 34 47 6 7
Mathew was acquire in the Zetterberg deal. He should be a really good playmaker center in this league. He got a really good speed and has the potential to be a good faceoff man. He also have a good stickhandking ability that can be usefull when games goes to shootouts. His developpement going pretty well so far as he got some NHL games since a week.
2. Ryan Gropp, LW/RW -- ANA 2nd 2015, (55th overall)

2014-15 Seattle Thunderbirds WHL 76 55 22 77 85 24
2015-16 Cincinnati Mighty Ducks AHL 53 15 10 25 16 5
I give my ceilling points to him last year to grow his defense ability. He will be an important part of the team in the future. Gropp is a Power Forward with a decent shot and hitting. He should have some success on a third line. He need to work on his consistency if he want to make his NHL debut nex season.
3.Ondrej Kase, RW/LW -- CGY 2nd 2014, (37th overall)

2015-16 Anaheim Mighty Ducks NHL 3 1 0 1 0 -2
2015-16 Cincinnati Mighty Ducks AHL 47 21 16 37 6 0
Ondrej Kase is a playrmaker winger that we acquire fro m Calgary last season in exchange of Zach Budish. He made his NHL debut with Anaheim this season. We really like his potential on the offensive part of the game. He is a great skater but his defensive ability is to work if he want to be a 1st line winger.
4.Vladislav Kamenev, C/LW -- ANA 1st 2014, (28th overall)
Code: Select all
Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-

2015-16 Anaheim Mighty Ducks NHL 21 0 1 1 40 -10
2015-16 Cincinnati Mighty Ducks AHL 32 15 17 32 32 9
Kamenev will have his chance next season when we will have some flexibility on our cap. He is already NHL ready, got some attributes to be a good 3rd liner.
5.Roope Hintz, C/RW -- ANA 2nd 2015, (54th overall)

2015-16 Ilves Tampere FIN 10 7 6 13 17 10
Roope is a alround offensive player. He has some good skills everywhere. He will be a good guy to put on every line when needed.
