Draft Preview
The Anaheim Ducks begin this 2016 draft with 7 picks to fill the prospect pool of the team. Here's take a look to those draft picks:
1st round, 23rd overall (From Dallas)
2nd round, 45th overall
2nd round, 59th overall (From NYR)
3rd round, 83rd overall (From Dallas)
3rd round, 88th overall (From Arizona)
5th round, 143rd overall (From Dallas)
6th round, 165th overall
7th round, 195th overall
As we can see, the Ducks doesn't have their own 1st pick. They traded him to Philadelphia in exchange of offensive d-man Cody Ceci early in the last season. Also, they won't draft in 4th round. Here's a look of the interview with General manager of the team, Jonathan Tremblay.

Well, there's a lot of talent in the 1st round. It's certain that the draft is not as deep than last year. We won't see a lot of good player drafted in the bottom of 2nd round. Compared to last year we drafted Roope Hintz and Ryan Groop in the end of the 2nd round and players like them will be selected in early 2nd round this year. But, we think our scout did a good job and we will probably be able to selects good players.Joe, what are your thought of this year draft prospect?
I think every General Manager try to move up at the moment but the price is really high. We talked to some GM but no offer is on the table right now. We wan't to move up but we don't want to send our core players to accomplish a trade. If i have a possibility to trade and the offer can improve our team, we will make a deal.Have you tried to moved up in the 1st round?
Brent Burns is an all around player in this league so why should I trade him man?!? Stupid speculation and stupid question! What about Brent Burns, there's a lot of speculation saying he will be gone before the draft. Is that true?
I think we have some good prospects right now in our bank. I have a list and we will pick the best player available on this list. We don't care if it's a d-man or a forward, we will pick the best player available. What are the need in your team, forward or d-man?
