Eastside's Hockey Elite Collide

I think I've got eastside.exe running properly, but what else do I need to do to get the gamefile open?

I copy the folder into the 'saves' folder, but I think I need to type some things into the savedata file?

Copy the EHEC folder from the zip file into EHM/saves directory. Open EHM...File>Open league>Type EHEC into blank text box>click Load League

Is there a way to speed up the load time, it really hangs for a while before the game finally loads?
