I've noticed for a while that there are some bot accounts on the forums.

For example, the active user list at the time of this post looks like this:

Baidu [Spider], Bing [Bot], Edmonton Mike, Majestic-12 [Bot], RangersGM

Does anyone know what these accounts are for?

Yes, they're here to spy on us politely. They can be disabled but I don't think that accomplishes anything because they'd see exactly the same pages without registering. Plus if you look down below:

... yeah, there are evidently anywhere from 10 to 100 unregistered bots crawling through here at any given moment, for some reason.
