I didn't process Michalek's buyout, so Anaheim's numbers are off. Everyone else should be accurate.
Those of you near the contract limit may want to talk to Bern.

Differences:
BUF = 130k
Comes from buyout penalties. Should be 2.61M for Shattenkirk (3.48 * 75%).
COL = 2.36M
I assume part of it is timing on Elias Lindholm (2.04M). Don't know about the other 320k. Just added them up manual and got 53.65M.
Edit - just realized it's probably all Nikolaj Ehlers' AHL salary.
NYR = 1.25M
Easiest explanation I can see is you're missing Eric Roy and Eric Comrie's AHL salaries.
NJ = 314k
Joe Colborne buyout should be 704k, not 740k. And best guess on the rest is Marko Dano's AHL salary.
WSH = 450k
Best guess is Nicholas Paul and Brett Pesce's AHL salaries.

Carolina needs to demote someone expensive (Eiserman, Roy or Sandstrom) for a game, then do something like demote Burke and swap Bouchard and Brizgala.
Florida should be ok (just barely) after the changes I made (not reflected in these numbers as I did them later).
MIN is still way over even after the Miller buyout; Turcotte in the AHL would help.
NYR needs to dump Comrie somehow, or send down Dube for a while, and return two U20 players to juniors.
Arizona needs a farm team and Chicago is nearly all fast-signs.

They already named two different underagers. You must've run your numbers before the Miller buyout (they're still over but not by as much as you're showing). They also still need a callup.

Been thinking I should add that to the post I always update but then I remember it would require effort on my part. Maybe I'll do it to avoid doing something else requiring effort.

Or is there a way how to calculate it ? A way that I could understand ?

Montreal's currently over but that's presumably just to maximize Mathias' LTIR.
Carolina and Nashville are actually over by ~50k each, respectively.

I also have Minnesota as being over by ~150k.
You've got some surprisingly low "TODATE" figures.
Minnesota: I have them as 60,345,000 for their first game, 59,945,000 for each subsequent game = 60,025,000.
Florida: 59,532,000 for every game = 59,532,000.
Ottawa: 58,849,000 for the first game, 58,649,000 for every game since = 58,689,000.
Pittsburgh: 59,330,000 for every game = 59,330,000.
Only other differences I noticed were Dallas and Vancouver which I assume is based on how we calculated things for the 15th (I didn't include their transactions between the 14th and 16th, presumably you did).

Oh, apparently something went horribly wrong on the 11th. I went back and fixed that. Incidentally, every team's cap log is in the cap folder in the zip if you want to double check it.
I did use the rosters from the 16th to do cap calculations from the 15th, lacking the actual file, but it looks like VAN did have the same lineup as on the 13th and I'm giving Dallas the benefit of the doubt too since neither Cederholm nor Hawryluk played.

I retroactively removed DeBrusk from Florida's cap for the last two games since he was up unnecessarily and I don't want to perform cap gymnastics for an orphan team. Just pretend he was sent down on the morning of the 29th.

EHM won't load for me so are the numbers in the first post up to date? Just wondering how much cap I have to work with.
The GP column is Games Played. That'll tell you right away if it's up to date or not

I almost always update mine (3rd post) after every sim. They don't match exactly to Dan's but there shouldn't be any major variance. I banked a lot of cap space for the Avs so you shouldn't have any real concerns at this point.

I update after every sim I do, which is at least every other day. There's also a full log for every team in the save file under the cap folder.

All-Star break update. TB & DAL need minor adjustments.

Grigorenko is out for month. Put him on LTIR. I should have 5,9 cap space

One more week until none of this matters anymore.
The Bruins have 100M in cap space for their last 5 games. Use it wisely.

Is there an easy way to figure out our cap situation for next year? It's more complex than other leagues I've been in and it would be nice to know while making off-season moves whether I'm putting my team in cap hell lol.

Make a spreadsheet, add up the 22-23 players you expect to start on your roster, your
buyout penalties (you have some for next season), and the penalties from AHL veterans making over 800k. Use Libreoffice or Google Sheets if you don't have Excel.
