Wasn't happy with some things, decided to try a mini-retool. Mainly looking for picks/prospects at this time, can also take on (or retain) some salary:

Ryan Strome (cheap and good depth)
Carl Klingberg (cheap 4th line hitter)
Zayde Wisdom (well rounded 4th liner with a good shot)

Every so often, people ask me if Drew Stafford is injured. Here's the deal: when I acquired him, I planned to use him as my 2C. But I ran a test and saw his numbers decrease over the season, so I decided I was best off holding him out, squeaking into the playoffs, and adding him to the lineup.
Things did not go as planned, for various reasons. Still concerned about his drop, I kept holding him out, to maximize his value nearing the trade deadline - which we are, of course, nearing (last year it was February 28th).
At this point in time, every team has played at least 49 games. Which means your regular season max is 33 and your absolute maximum is 61 (assuming you play to game 7 in all four rounds). When I ran a second test sim, with Stafford as the 2C and on both PP2 and PK2, I recorded his stats after every month, which I will share it for full disclosure, so folks can see how it *might* decrease
(note, my OF/DF/OA are calculated differently from the website's)
