Getting punched every day + sniffing coke every day = early death.

That definitely sucks. Not that you wish it on anyone, but when its a considerably older former player, its not really unexpected. To see someone this young go is a real shame, and even sadder given his troubled past, in which there's no one to blame but himself. A sad end to a great day.

By all accounts he had pulled himself together, so I don't "blame" anyone here. Although, true, he did not use himself wisely for a long time. Also, his dad died from a heart attack at 41. Family history bites again.

You abuse something like coke/crack, that stuff sticks with you in multiple ways for a long time, even after you've cleaned yourself up. I've witnessed it from others directly.

This was certainly a big reason on its own. A real shame no matter what, especially in the presence of his family.
