Friday afternoon, 26th of June.

Everything is in place for the draft. Each team have analyzed et compared prospect from around the world. In an hour or so, teams will be asked to announce their first pick of 2015 in Florida.

Everybody is ready...

Everybody but.... Buffalo\'s GM Guillaume Lepine. No where near the table of his organization, Buffalo\'s GM was still trying to get to the arena. When he arrived, he was not alone.

\"Sorry guys, we had some problem at the airport\" said GM Lepine. \"BUT WE ARE GONNA ROCK THIS DRAFT RIGHT GUYS !!!!!\" The GM was pretty pumped up, a little too much. With that said, he was with Dustin Johnson. We knew what was going on... The guy was dressed up like a Texan or something (see picture). But boy oh boy did the girl with her was hot.

GM Lepine was joking around, did not listen to our recommandations and was telling some dirty things to Wayne, who was sitting at the Arizona table, about his daughter. He then got up on the stage, with a football jersey of the Memphis Maniax and on this song

What happened after was pure embarrassment.

\"With the 8th selection, the Buffalo Sabres are proud to select.... Travis Konecny !\"

The crowd was stunned...like that time when Kevin Costner drafted Vontae Mack instead of Bo Callahan... \"He\'s 5 11 god damn it, what the hell are we gonna do with that guy....\" responded Lindy Ruff.

Lepine told us after that he had some plan for the rest of the evening giving us 3 simple rules...

1st RULE: You do not talk about this selection.
2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about THIS SELECTION
3RD RULE : Draft me some Swiss player... I like their cockiness

With that being said, Lepine left the building with that girl oh man that girl...while Dustin Johnson was having the time of his life at the Washington table with fellow GM Marc-André Larivière.

So we listened... took Denis Malgin, a center in the 3rd and Michael Fora, d-man, in the sixth hoping these guys could play for the Swiss club around Christmas. The son of Buffalo\'s dentist Adam Carrier, Alexandre, was pick in the 4th round. Finally, Klok was our final pick in a perspective of having a lot of points using his name during our annual Scrabble game occuring each year in Buffalo during the all-star game.

Philly saw the we were in deep trouble and ask for our 4th for a whole bunch of picks for next year.

As the vice president of player personnel and director of amateur scouting, I hope that with that trade and a better preparation, our next year\'s draft will be remembered. Our 1st round pick won\'t be like this year I\'ll promess you that.
