Slow start to the season - hoping to put it behind in the next game against the Blues

Dallas Stars are having a rather slow start to the season, having lost two games and won only once in the first three games of the season. Head Coach Jere Lehtinen hopes that his team will be able to shake it off in the next game against the St. Louis Blues who are still waiting for their first win in the season.

"We're still trying to find the right spot for some of our players. There were many moves made in the off-season and some players are yet to completely learn our system and to ultimately, thrive in it. Especially Evgeni Malkin. Joel Armia is also having tough time to find his groove again. He's still yet to score. I'm confident that both Geno and Joel will turn it around soon. Hopefully against the Blues." Jere Lehtinen have been heard this morning.

Assistant Coach Darryl Sydor also noted that "Coulombe will probably sit for the next game. We need to shuffle our deck a bit now. (Simon) Fernholm is set for his debut in Stars uniform as he will play instead of AC (Alex Coulombe). We'll see how will that go. I have big faith in Coulombe's abilities, regardless. But sometimes he's too hard on himself and sometimes, it's non-productive for him. From time to time, he needs to hit his reset button to be as good as he can be."

In today's morning practice, another newcomer, a pre-season camp pleasent surprise Bogdan Yakimov skated on a line alongside Derek Roy and Nino Niederreiter. So it seems like Filippi may not play in the next game.

Goalie Coach Marty Turco hinted that Korpisalo could be the starting goaltender against the Blues.
