The Sens all gather at the traditional golf tournament which somehow starts the preseason.

The GM has been really active during the summer while signing UFAs at key positions like Oscar Dansk, Ryan Kesler, Joe Colborne and Gustav Forsling.
A lot of veterans have also been signed to play in AHL and support prospects in their development. We've been told that the 1st selection of the 2021 EHEC draft Cole Sillinger is expected to play for the baby Sens this season.

There's still couple of spots to fill in the pro team and the preseason will help the GM to take the appropriate decisions.
''We've added a lot of players able to play a key role on the bottom-6. The competition at the camp will be very interesting and we're looking forward to it.
We did an offer to the RFA Kirill Marchenko because we feel he could be a great candidate to fill one of the spots. There's a tiny chance he could sign with us but it worth the shot.''

The Sens also made the announcement that Ryan Kesler, Cody Hodgson and Noah Hanifin will be the alternate captains to Connor McDavid.

Finally, the Sens started the preseason with a 3-1 loss at the MSG while the only veteran on the ice was Jacob Middleton.
