Ah, yep. Made a note about moving Lowry then promptly ignored it. Will correct it.

We can get past the rollover using 1.18, then go back to 1.16. Since I know 1.18 makes funky rookies, but we overwrite them, that won't be a problem. Any other issues you can think of by using 1.18 for a few game days?

Making a note to do something and ignoring it was a personal favorite of mine when simming. Especially fun when you notice you missed it seconds after you've posted the file.

Very true, we need never worry how poor the draft class will end up being. As for other issues, I don't use 1.18 very much if at all (does anyone?) so I couldn't say for sure but the only other problem I remember with it is the Euro signing window and we're within that now anyways.

Well, it was a small sample size, but I tested using 1.18 to get past the rollover, saved the game, then switched to 1.16 and advanced about a week, with no problem.

When are retirement decisions going to be made?

Also, not sure if Washington's worried about it or not but...

Do we have a separate period for offer sheets or can we do those now too?

Spezza is a special case b/c we forgot until the last minute that he was going UFA (or needed to be traded) and I didn't think it was fair to say to Marty "your best guy is leaving in 5 minutes, sorry." It's my fault I forgot about the rule about not being able to re-sign high greed players, so I'm giving him until Sunday morning to make a trade or he goes UFA.

That would be another reason to update the Rulebook every time a rule is added or modified. The work we've done on it last offseason was a good start, but there have been too many different threads and posts on rule changes since then. Also, Vik has highlighted several elements that were missing from the 2014-15 version.
