Here we are, on a Friday the 13th, as the season starts to wind down. The in game "EHEC" deadline is today apparently, or depending on how that pop out is, tomorrow. And whoever sims Sunday, beware the ides of March! Ok enough blather, to the games!
Anaheim wins the first of the night 5-3, but not before also having the first LTI of the night (calm down, the ONLY one). Mr. Gudbranson, not liking the 'cut of his jib' knocked out Mr. Karpukhin for what the game called "a little over a month". It was, in fact, 31 days, so yes. (I did forget to enter this suspension at first, but I fixed it, re-uploaded players.ehm and a new ZIP file accordingly. In case anyone downloaded the wrong one for the, what, 10 seconds, it was up there. You weirdos).
Oh right the games.
I beat the Jets in their barn, though they are in a fight for the bottom so they probably prefer that? Markstrom doesn't throw it for me, and I once again ride the backs of Matthews and Gauthier, apparently my only good players this year. (I'm being a baby, I have a few good D too)
Det with a solid 3-2 over CGY even with Bedard's 20th. Kotkaniemi nets 2 and gets a 10-star.
Dallas over Buffalo in a battle for their respective conference playoff positions 4-1. There's no LTI but it was some CHIPPY hockey that included 3 fights. Spencer Knight was spectacular for Dallas, and again, EHEC denies him first star.
Vancouver with a punishing 5-0 win over Boston, on the back of a 2-for-8 powerplay. Brayden Point had a (natural?) hattrick. Is it natural if you score 3 goals in a row or do you have to do it in 1 period?
Despite Laffy's 36th (wow) of the season starting things off, Nashville holds on and wins another 3-2 affair for the evening. That's 3 3-2 games, and none were in OT.
Finally SJ dominates the scrappy Avalanche who are just begging to hold onto one of the last playoff spots in the West. Might be a first round match, but there's a lot of games still. I'd recommend not putting SJ on the powerplay 5 times where they scored 2.
