2020 Contract Re-signings

I have updated the
file to June 21. Some more 2019 draftees boosted. I didn't realize that the game would release some unsigned prospects four years out from their draft (college players?), so if you intended to sign any of them, please post their contracts as usual. I also re-set team budgets to $65M. If you notice anything else out of the ordinary, let me know.
The contract re-signing period can now begin.
Rules for re-signing players are here. If you have any questions, post them here.
I will probably just add a year to every expiring staff contract. If you want to fire someone,
post here. If you want to fire half of your staff and replace them despite having just won the Cup, I will probably frown on that. 5 staff each for pro/farm is enough; you don't need scouts.
UFA will begin in a couple of weeks from now. I will post an exact date/time next week.
Questions?

Yeah if a guy is unsigned at age 23 you lose them.

Non-Europeans, yes, but I didn't realize that the game does this on June 21 instead of July 1 like it should. Anyway, I don't lament the loss of Joseph Woll that much.

You didn't try hard enough. Incidentally, I'm leaving the stats and boxscores up on the site until preseason starts.

Slim compared to some previous years.
And do teams REALLY need 20 staff members?

. And do teams REALLY need 20 staff members?
Not really. Each team needs 2 general managers. (NHL/AHL). 2 head coaches. 2 assistant coaches. 2 scouts and 2 physios. One each for NHL / AHL as a minimum. That makes it 10 staff members overall. I know I wanted to sign some more just for fun, having some older Stars players and stuff Ike that. If it's a problem I can reduce them to 10 staff members. :) No biggie
P.S.: Actually, already did. :)

Haha, actually yeah I know. But don't we have to have at least one GM named in-the-game...for ..something. ? :D

Well yeah because those are only 2019 picks, but with them nearly every booster worth anything from 2019 ended up boosting (some twice), which I think justifies the new policy.
Technically the game only needs one staff member per team (pro and farm) to run.

Anton Cederholm isn't in the calculator and I can't add him. I know he's 59 OA but his defensive ceiling is mid-80s.
edit - nvm, didn't see the cell 600 thing

Anyone below 60 OA is not worthy of being pasted into the sheet and gets league minimum, which was not specified in the rulebook before but is now.
This potentially conflicts with RFAs not taking less than their previous contract.
Ok, just to make this clear, the sheet now covers everyone 50OV and above, and the rulebook makes it clear that anyone below this threshold can be signed for league minimum, so if you find an 10OF/90DF or 90OF/10DF gem, have at it.

Someone asked when UFA begins, and the answer is still in approximately 10 days. You'll get the exact date Soon (TM).
Now, for more relevant news: I accidentally introduced a bug in the contract calculator when I made the fix to penalty ratings. There were two issues: one, I didn't exclude goalies; and two, because Google sheets lacks a simple if/else function, I added separate numbers for the HI<80 and HI>80 cases but dimwittedly excluded HI=80 entirely. I fixed both. This happened to affect goalies mostly because there are a lot with HI of exactly 80 (or whatever the goalie attribute corresponding to hitting is).
The players whose numbers changed by more than 50k are: Harding, Pavelka, Helenius, Chet Pickard, Pavelec, Fucale, Herbst, Fitzpatrick, Kahkonen, Tompkins, Gustavsson, Vladar.
I'll update any extensions already entered and inform you if one of your players is affected. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Will this be the last change to the player prices? Every time I have to re-think my strategy, and once it cost me, trading a good player, who after a change wouldve been making less and I could have signed him.

Rules are subject to change at anytime. Especially considering we're using an imperfect system and have basically two staff members doing all the league work. Stuff gets missed or overlooked.

I think the system is as close to perfection as possible and the league is running smooth.

We have an entire off season. There's no need to rush, plenty of time to get it right before they institute something new.

Exactly, you have an entire off-season to adjust your plans accordingly. I don't think Dan or Vik wanna spent more time thoroughly inspecting and testing every new rule and policy change.

I meant to say program, referring to EHM. The system we have in place is great, I have no issues with it.

I am not planning further changes to the contract calculator. The fixes made this offseason were necessary to keep contracts fair, which is the whole point of the calculator.
As I have mentioned before, I have considered changes to buyout costs and to qualifying offers, but since I couldn't come up with better but also simple and loophole-free systems, they're not happening this offseason.

Well, the webhosting bill will be due soon, so if you want to contribute to that, you'll have the opportunity in due time.

For the players who still show one year on the rosters, did they reject or not respond yet to the offer? I haven't been able to get EHM running smoothly to check. Mainly wondering about Cederholm.

Its my fault for not clarifying who this was directed at. I appreciate your support for the league, but this isnt a question you can answer.
You taking what I said out of context, and then changing, it is not necessary. If I have any questions for you, I will surely direct them your way.

You asked a question in an open forum and it wasn't directed at anyone specific. Next time just PM Dan if you got a complaint or question.

OK. What about Roslovic and Gilbert?
On an unrelated note, there is a UFA staff member named simply 251
