Not at the moment. There isn't really any urgency to get it done before the playoffs, so I'll just work on it on-and-off when I feel like it until the summer. Besides, more and more info gets released up until the real NHL draft, so there's even less incentive to rush on the later rounds.

I got it up to 30 guys with pot/con/ceilings at least. The NHL is having their draft lottery earlier than usual but I think we'll keep ours a bit later so as to spare me the potential conflict of interest, and so that I can see more post-playoff final rankings.

I am thinking of adding more college/international UFAs this offseason, so if any of you want to start a list that would be useful. For example, Taro Hirose already has a bunch of points for the Wings. I'm not going to modify anyone who's already in the file, though.

With the conference finals over, the draft order is nearly set:

1 S.J (COL)
2 OTT
3 BOS
4 MIN
5 NJD
6 DAL (BUF)
7 LAK (NSH)
8 CAR
9 PIT
10 OTT (NYI)
11 STL
12 DET
13 WPG (VAN)
14 WPG (CGY)
15 TOR
16 DAL (SJ)
17 CBJ
18 CGY (NYR)
19 WAS
20 FLA
21 NJD (WPG)
22 NAS (TBL)
23 CBJ (DAL)
24 CGY (CHI)
25 NJD (ANA)
26 ARZ
27 DAL (LAK)
28 PHI
29 MTL
30 DAL (EDM)

2nd round and on (not checking who owns these right now):
31 BOS
32 OTT
33 MIN
34 NJD
35 BUF
36 COL
37 NAS
38 CAR
... etc

I've entered bare minimum info for two rounds worth of prospects now. Exciting.

We're up to 61 skaters and 5 goalies. The 3rd+ rounders might get a little less TLC.

I am working on it, but it should still load fine. There's a graph in the top 50 rows which may or may not render properly if you're browsing on a phone/tablet. After that there are 75 skaters (for now, that's basically halfway! whooo!), a big gap for the rest to come and then a handful of goalies.

If anyone wants to help fill out the bottom half of the draft, volunteers are welcome.

Alright, we're on the home stretch here with 125 skaters and 13 goalies. I'm going to add another 30 skaters and that should be it. The talent pool in rounds 3+ looks thinner than usual, but that's because I've made a lot more boosters than previous years and added a reasonably deep goalie class, so we'll see how that goes. I'm aiming to get them all into the file in the next week and then start the draft in about two weeks.

22/217 = 10.1%
13/150 = 8.7%

Really just two goalies shy of being at the same percent of the total picks. Given the differences between the NHL and EHM, I'd say that's closer than it needs to be.

There are now 150 new draft-eligible skaters in the updated league file, 13 new goalies, and a handful of updates to previously undrafted skaters (the guys with a "boost" next to their rows on the sheet - they still suck, just less so). You can find the full list here. The guys with 20/20 pot/con are EHM generated and will be replaced/retired at some point. If you find any nonexistent players in the draft list, let me know.

Since we're all ready to go, we will have the draft in one week's time. Mark your calendars for Friday July 12th at 7PM EST.

How does the draft work? Is it pick by pick with 5 minutes in between?

Calgary.Flames wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2015 10:12 pm The EHEC Entry Draft consists of 5 rounds. Teams that are excluded from the EHEC playoffs enter the Draft Lottery. Draft lottery results only apply to the first round. All subsequent rounds will follow the final standings, including the playoffs.
The following time limits must be respected between each draft selection:
1-2 = 12 hours
3-4 = 8 hours
5-7 = 6 hours

The league suggests sending a shortlist via PM in case you cannot make your selection within the time limit. If you fail to submit a pick, the next best player according to The EHEC final draft rankings will be selected on your behalf. Teams who have their pick timed out will have their subsequent picks auto-selected until informed otherwise. When a draft pick is traded, the applicable time limit is reset from the time that the trade ruling is posted. A separate thread for each round will be posted in the appropriate EHEC Entry Draft forum, and a running list of the draft results will be stickied and updated with each pick.

How come there are some players in the Draft Eligibles who are not listed in 2019 spreadsheet?
For example, Florchuk, Chisholm etc.
Are those players from the last year's draft who haven't been picked or ? how it is?

Lukas (CBS) hasn't logged on in nearly a month so I'm going to go ahead and say he's not picking any time soon, although ironically he gets one of the better value choices despite that.

Washington at least popped into discord to say that he was on vacation, so give him the benefit of the doubt. Florida's AWOL so they can be auto'd.

Any way to prevent people from editing their posts in the draft thread? I hadn't noticed that Boston had actually made their pick because of the edit and I was lucky to have noticed when someone else did it earlier in the draft.

I accidentally scrolled down too far for STL and DET's auto picks and it's too late to fix. I apologize for robbing them of the chance at a very marginal prospect instead of an extremely marginal one.
