Sabres Defy Odds, Win Draft Lotto & More

By god that's the Buffalo Sabres music!
Yes sabreheads, that's right. The impossible has occurred. Macklin Celebrini, talented cousin of Connor Bedard will wear the blue gold and white. Buffalo won the annual draft lottery last Wednesday, having a 25% chance thanks to multiple lottery picks and a terrible season.
Not only has Buffalo won the 1st overall pick, miraculously they have also won the 3rd overall. The trade flipping Winnipeg's 1st back to them for Pittsburgh's 1st has paid huge dividends. Pit's pick had just a 5.6% chance to move from 9th to 3rd.
The question now moves to which talented youngster will the Sabres add at 3? Electric winger Ivan Demidov? Dynamic center Berkly Catton? Towering defenceman Anton Silayev? We will find out in come summertime at the virtual Sphere in virtual Las Vegas.
