Re: May 2, 2013
The Pittsburgh Penguins take things up a notch after Casey Borer's intent to injure penalty in the second period and fire 35 of their 43 shots over the final two periods in their Game One victory over the Hurricanes. The league will review the Borer incident that injured David Clarkson tomorrow.
In the other semifinal game, the Canadiens' big guns all show up, but the Capitals still make a game of it late in the third period to have something to build on going in to Game Two on Saturday.

Wasn't Prices best night, but offense picked him up.
Last playoffs, Marc Savard played in a memorable 7 game series vs WPG and came away with 1 goal, 1 point. 6 games this year, he's got 3 goals and 10 points, but apparently still can't win in the faceoff dot. Neither can anybody on my team not named Arnott.
Impressed by Arnott this post-season. 3rd Goal, 2nd game winner, while apparently averaging only 8 minutes a night. If Game 1 is any indication this is going to be a tight series.
Impressive shot total by the home squad in Mellon Arena.

That's an ugly shot total for Carolina. Still can't help but be amused every time I read a boxscore that says CAR PIT.

Re: May 2, 2013
I had asked Tommy to post about Casey Borer's suspension for me because I was unable to do it last night. Since that post didn't happen, Borer will be suspended for Game 3, not tonight's Game 2. It would be unfair to do it right before the sim because of Committee error without giving Dave a chance to make adjustments. But, Borer will absolutely miss Game 3 for injuring Clarkson.
