Re: Official Waiver Wire Thread
Montreal would like to buy out Mike Fisher. I'm told it's a 20% penalty (previous GM + over $3M) so that should be a $690,000 hit against the cap. Let me know if that's wrong.
Edit: Just to clarify, he's on waivers for the purpose of buying him out.

Re: Official Waiver Wire Thread
I think Fiala needs to be manually sent down because he's under-20. He's still on my NHL roster and I'm over the cap with him there. I sent him down in the GMO, but it clearly didn't take.
Also Liedes demotion didn't go through.

Re: Official Waiver Wire Thread
I had some trouble with U20 AHL demotions to. I'm not sure if it took on the repeated attempts, or if it was Bub doing it himself. The demotion was probably lost in the re-sim. Doing it through Office again should work.
PM Dan, or I will do it myself Saturday.

Re: Official Waiver Wire Thread
You used to have to post every demotion here since they were done by hand. I'm not sure why people are still posting ineligible players though, or:flyergp21 wrote:Just a question here:

From now on, if it can be done through GM Office I am going to assume you have done it that way. If you can't for whatever reason, please make a note. This is mostly about re-calls/demotions of over 20 players.

That was before GM Office. It's still good practice, and shows your not trying to push guys through if they are waiver eligible.Dallas Stars GM wrote:Rulebook says that we have to post each transaction (i.e. promotion/demotion)

It would help the simmers if you've made a note about transactions already done through office, however.

Re: Official Waiver Wire Thread
DET demoted Winnik thinking he wasn't waiver eligible because of his TW contract.
Since we don't use them anymore, we decided to leave Winnik on DET's roster since he just wasn't aware of the new rule.
I think Pat contacted both guys involved and everything was fine. Just a misunderstanding.

Re: Official Waiver Wire Thread
This. Since we did not explicitly say 2-ways were no longer relevant to promotions/demotions as they apply to waivers, we revoked this claim. We did not go through the file and delete every 2-way clause in the game, but they have NO meaning in the game anymore.Calgary.Flames wrote:DET demoted Winnik thinking he wasn't waiver eligible because of his TW contract.

New waiver proposal:
For players 26 or older, contract of 1 mill or less and = waiver free; over 1 mill he can be claimed
For 25 and under, contract of 1.5 mill or less + under 100 NHL GP = waiver free; 1.5 mill or less + over 100 NHL GP = can be claimed (players making over 1.5 mill can't play on the farm anyway, excepting players on their ELC)
Players on ELCs are exempt regardless of contract
