There's no buyout penalty for guys making less than 1.5 million. So you can simply release them. As for the prospects, you've only got 3 unsigned prospects over 20; unless you're talking about free agents -- contract offers to UFA need to be handled via PM to the free agents account.

My bad 3 of them didn't celebrate their birthday yet, but is there a different way to release my players?

I'd like to get rid of them please even though I'm only signing 2 guys if it's possible.

Does not matter, Jordan Schmaltz was a free-release and instantly became a UFA when Colorado posted. He didn't go through the waiver process because of his salary being less then 1.5m.

Montreal get's Jordan Schmaltz signed to a 1 yr deal, at I believe the same salary as his past contract.

I will wait until this is confirmed by a staff member before entering it into the gamefile.

He was released, and became a UFA. He was not placed on waivers, and therefore not subject to competing standings-based waiver claims. We've always handled under-60-OA claims on a first-claim basis, and we'll do that here.

The committee will revisit this in the off-season, to see if the rulebook needs clarifying on this point.
