The last piece we were looking for to solidify our defense... a perfect fit on the third pairing. Still have four picks in the first two rounds this year to build the prospect pool up with and we should be in decent shape to deal with a less pick-rich draft next season.

After acquiring defensemen like Doughty and Tyutin and emergence of young d-men in the system (Kylington, Siegenthaler, Cernak) I seriously doubt that there would be enough space left for all them so at least one of the group has to go. This deal gives the organization a chance to draft some centremen or other needed players down the road. Thanks and good luck Penguins.
