The night starts off with a sickening crunch? thud? as PIT's Tyler Boucher (the opening goalscorer) takes out Owen Power for 39 days. COL scores once on the ensuing powerplay but DeBrincat ties it up close to the midway mark and the game ends 3-3.

Home teams sweep the rest of the evening (including NAS's 6-2 drubbing of OTT), except in BUF where the power of 35+ players is demonstrated as Eberle and Ovechkin combine for 7 points, their line scoring all 4 of MTL's goals in a regulation comeback after going down 3-1.
