Andrew is still writing up the epic final day of the regular season, but all that really happened is that Carolina blew their chance to make the playoffs thanks to their GM trading away their best forward to the Senators. Sabres fans are jubilant that they snuck into 8th and will face Ottawa's lineup of 6 guys with a +40 rating or better. Otherwise, I don't think playoff seeding changed anywhere besides 6-8 in the East.

WPG, FLA, PHI, CBS and ARI managed to finish bottom 5 and will have the best odds for the upcoming draft lottery.
