The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a big splash in the free agent market, locking up star goaltender Carey Price for the next 3 years.

"I could've got more money elsewhere, but Tampa has a great lineup and will give me a great shot at winning the Cup" said Price on the phone from his hometown in northern BC.

The Lightning weren't done there, signing forwards Brian Hart and Zach Budish, and defenseman Mattias Backman to add some depth to the bottom of the lineup.

With the acquisition of Price, veteran Henrik Lundquist was moved to Boston in exchange for a 3rd round draft pick in the upcoming draft.
