Round 2 starts off with a bang, as we go 2 for 2 on games needing an OT decision.

In San Jose the Sharks stake an early 2-0 lead after one. The Blues cut that number in half in the second, and then tie it up early in the third via back to back Kyle Connor goals. St. Louis immediately blows it, surrendering a goal just 1:35 after tying it, but they manage to equalize a second time and force OT. Just 58 seconds into the extra frame, Connor would complete his hat trick, winning the game and stealing home ice for the Blues.
SJ 3-4 STL (Series: SJ 0 - 1 STL)

In Dallas, both teams score in the first 1:24 (first the Stars, then the Wings) before Detroit grabs a second goal to take a 2-1 lead into the break. The Stars hit back in the second, scoring twice for a 1 goal lead of their own. In the third Detroit would equalize just after the 5:00 mark, and though three powerplays are handed out no-one takes advantage and we head to OT once again. This time OT lasts nearly five minutes before Phillip Danault fires home Detroit's first shot of the period (the third from either team) to help Detroit join St. Louis in stealing home ice.
