Re: October 2, 2009
I'm hoping to have the home page issue fixed tomorrow. I don't know what the hell happened, but it's pissed me off all night. That explains the late sim. Sorry, guys.
Luckily, the forums don't go down with the home page.

Crosby gets so much credit. But Guerin, Malkin, Letang, Kunitz, Staal won the 09 Cup.

Yeah, slow-ass Guerin who got half as many points as Crosby did and floated through the entire last two rounds of the playoffs got them there, not Crosby's 31 points in 24 games. What are you smoking?Bears wrote:Crosby gets so much credit. But Guerin, Malkin, Letang, Kunitz, Staal won the 09 Cup.

13 penalty kills? Was Mario reffing the game?
And who says Wade Redden doesn't make the PP go?

All I'm going to say is that Max Talbot should have won the Conn Smythe.

First of many wins expected, I'll take it I guess but we'll have to get those instructions in and play some D!
Re: October 2, 2009
He racks up all his points on the PP. Playing with Malkin.SharksGM wrote:Yeah, slow-ass Guerin who got half as many points as Crosby did and floated through the entire last two rounds of the playoffs got them there, not Crosby's 31 points in 24 games. While I absolutely hate Crosby, he actually did have more even strength points then Malkin in the playoffs
http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.htm? ... ame=points
I would say they were both equally important, just at different points in the postseason. Interesting that in the two elimination games (games 6 and 7), they combined for a total of 1 point (1 assist by Malkin in game 7). Not exactly stepping it up when it was do or die.
Re: October 2, 2009
Right. He's not a bad hockey player. I just haven't seen much improvement since his rookie year.

Re: October 2, 2009
Malkin is awseome, and one of my fav players but he vanished a number of games (especially in Washington series). Crosby consistently was there best player on the ice night in night out, which you can't always tell from a scoresheet imo. Huge LOL @ the guy who said "i havn't seen much improvement since his rookie year"DetroitGM wrote:Malkin would beg to differ.Tampa Bay GM wrote:fypBears wrote:Crosby gets so much credit. He's cut down on wasteful PIM (hasn't eclipsed 100 since rookie year). Had 18 more PTS his sophomore season (120), and was on pace for 111 the year after. I'm not sure if you put any stock in individual awards but in his second season he became the youngest player in NHL history to win the Art Ross Trophy and the youngest scoring champion in any major North American professional sport. Add in the fact he's captained his team to back-to-back Stanley Cup finals and won it all last year. So 3 seasons after his rookie campaign he's the youngest NHL captain in NHL history, won a scoring title, Hart trophy and has a ring around his finger that reads "STANLEY CUP CHAMPION".
You say he hasn't improved much from his rookie year? Please send me the stuff you have been smoking/injecting/inhaling.

Re: October 2, 2009
So Crosby scores 21 even-strength points in 24 playoff games and it's Chris fucking Kunitz and his 1 playoff goal who deserves the credit for winning the Cup?
