Lots of action packed into 5 games tonight. Ovechkin ties it late and helps the Caps win the shootout to give them top spot in the East. Hudler goes crazy in the Sunshine State by tallying four times while everyone loses it in the 3rd period in Chicago, da Hawks win but Boynton takes Sharp out of the lineup for a month. Elsewhere, the Blues win the night's 2nd shootout while Julien's Flames get it done.

However, it is a dominant tactic that needs to be regulated ASAP.

Well, that sure is something. Hudler would be T2nd on my team in goals with that outburst ;)

29-12-2011 Team captain meets with Luca Caputi
Team captain Dion Phaneuf called a short meeting with Luca Caputi after practice today to discuss some issues that have affected his play. I have to take the brunt of this, said Luca Caputi as he left the ice. My play has not been up to snuff and if I'm not contributing more, I have to work harder.

30-12-2011
4-2 WIN in Ottawa.
Luca Caputi gets an assist, a shot, 3 shots and 3 takeaways in 12:40 of ice time.

Good job, captain.

Well, each team shut out 17 of the 18 skaters. So there's that.

you never like to think your guys are overplaying their injuries for some off-time in the middle of the season, but rumor out of simulated Chicago is that Sharp got a copy of MW3 for Xbox 360 and a giant bag of wee....i mean Cheetohs for Christmas and is planning some couch time
