Ladies, gentlemen, players, general managers, scouts, and fans, welcome to the 2012 EHEC Entry Draft! We just completed our third successful season and hopefully there are many more to come. I'd first like to thank the city of Pittsburgh for its hospitality this weekend (month) and for hosting this terrific event.

Some dreams are going to come true for the players of the 2012 Draft Class and it's important to recognize their hard work and dedication, as well as the sacrifices of their parents, coaches, and other family members to get them to this point. So much goes into getting yourself to a level like this and they should be commended for it.

Congratulations go out to Dan Taranu and his San Jose Sharks for their tremendous playoff run and to Tom Kennish and his Winnipeg Jets for their dramatic turn-around in reaching the Stanley Cup Finals. Now, we turn the page and look forward to the 2012-2013 season.
