Martin Havlat should be back in time for the season opener after being injured on a play with Mikko Koivu. Mikko Koskinen bounced back to possibly solidify the backup job for the Jets tonight with a shutout. The Panthers blanked the Blackhawks behind some solid play from John Gibson. Detroit and Washington took care of business and my Jackets had a nice effort with less than half of my opening night roster in the lineup.
