EHM on Windows 7 Question
Just wondering if anyone knows how to register the .ocx files associated with EHM on Windows 7. I did it on my old laptop but forgot the way to do it that's needed to get EHM to work. And of course since that fried recently i'm kindof stuck.

Re: EHM on Windows 7 Question
As far as I know, you just put them in the main EHM folder like you always do. If EHM won't work, you may just need to run as admin or use compatibility mode.DaveG-Canes wrote:Just wondering if anyone knows how to register the .ocx files associated with EHM on Windows 7. Re: EHM on Windows 7 Question
I don't recall having any problems, but I'm sure I did.
In Windows 7x64, there might be a missing .dll (which is as easy as googling+downloading) that EHM likes, but I can't recall anything weird with the .ocx
Do they not register if you go to the command line?
(Should point out I use a hacked .exe of EHM - but don't we all use the 'no-waiver' hack?)

Re: EHM on Windows 7 Question
Run as Admin seems to have got things working. Thanks guys
Re: EHM on Windows 7 Question
It should. Nothing has fundamentally changed about the architecture, it's just got a revamped interface. (And, allegedly, it's got greater legacy-program compatibility? Haven't played with it yet either. If it's really supposed to be lighter-weight than 7 (Can't even overstate the shot in the arm my system got when I swapped Vista for 7... oy.), might be worth while.)
