The league has suspended San Jose's Ryane Clowe for four games after injuring Edmonton's Scott Glennie for two months.

The Oilers lose Scott Glennie to injury, but have the last laugh after earning the second point in overtime. Toronto's offense makes the most of their chances as Fleury shuts down the Senators. Florida fails to convert on all six power play opportunities eventually falling to the Canadiens in the shootout.

Kassian leads the way for the Sabres, while da Hawks impressive comeback collects a point at home.

- first win in 12 games,(1 point during that stretch).
- Rookie Blueliner night with Dumba and Auvinen both scoring, Auvinen continues to produce with the big club
- Mayfield claims another victim
- Fleury with 34 saves, forgot to put Allen in 8-)
- 3 days off before New Years matchup against Detroit, Leafs always have the best holiday schedules.

Ahhh, there's nothing quite like mediocre goaltending and piss-poor discipline to blow a perfectly good 3-0 lead.

^Schneider wasn't trying.

I had this game pegged as a loss about a week and a half ago. I decided to throw an absolute random assortment of lines together just for shit sakes and it got me the win haha. A very nice bounce back game from Niemi after he pooped it against Washington.

The PK delivers again. 0/5 against TB, 0/6 against FLA. Patrik Nemeth's 8 game point streak is over, but that's okay. Curious why Dan Boyle shoots 2nd in the shootout, but he scored so I guess I can't complain too much.

Now a couple more nights off until a huge tilt in Raleigh against the Canes to close out this ridiculous 6 game 2 week road trip with 2 back-to-backs.

Believe me, I'd rather keep Clowe for the next 4 games than take out Glennie.

The hilarious part is that Clowe got the 3rd star for his, uh, heroic efforts.
