Olli Jokinen spoils the Russian domination as the Capitals crush Canada's team. Taylor Hall's attempt to spark his team by throwing down his gloves evidently impresses nobody except Jarret Stoll's face.

Meanwhile, overseas the predictable 6-3 finish rules, with USA USA! doubling up on the junior Russians. Who is Michael Mersch?? Xavier Ouellet trades in his Canadian citizenship to lead France over Poland, Dmitry Porkhomovskiy's fantastic name is not enough to defeat Emil Lundberg's hat trick for Sweden, while Tomi Wilenius reminding me of the Willenium is not enough to distract me from the goddamn impressive performance by the only real player on team Ukraine - Sergei Kutzov, who cuts you as he scores 2 goals in the third period. The second goal came with 19 seconds to play in a game where he had 39:50 of ice time. In regulation.

Imagine where we would be without our Penalty Kill.

Oh ya, and Stoll can suck a dick.
