My apologies for the late sim. No idea what happened.

Martin Brodeur is unable to steal one from the Sharks, as the teal team puts six behind the crafty old vet. Phillip Danault provides some late heroics for the Blue Jackets, scoring the game winner with 13 seconds to go in a 3-2 victory. The Jets' PK has a terrible night, allowing three powerplay goals in a 3-1 defeat. It's not a good night for Mike Cleary against his former team as the Blues score a touchdown and kick the extra point in a 7-1 rout. Phoenix takes care of business with a standard issue 3-1 win over the Wild. Jason LaBarbera makes it two in a row for the Islanders as they down the Leafs 5-2. The Rangers show some fight in the third period to tie the Penguins, but the absence of Tom Kuehnhackl in the shootout again dooms them as the Pens pick up the extra point. The Ducks fly together in overtime to down the Stars.

I see big things for the Kid Line of Kartayev-Namestnikov-Connolly in the future.

Brett Connolly, second half Coyotes MVP? An unnamed scout in the Coyotes system was overheard comparing Brett to a young Dougie Gilmour. Once he fills out his frame a little, watch out.

And Colorado... C'MON...

hate to see that the regrettable Blue Jack-offs have gotten their act together and are on fire. if not for those 2 goal blown leads a few weeks ago they would probably be riding a ten or so game win streak.

on the good side, hawks win! hawks win!!!! thank god toews showed up tonight.

actually i was prepared for the loss, and i was going to rip Tortarella's rant last night...something about no credit to Vancouver, but we won. i will post it anyway because i made me laugh last night...especially Buffalo gets no credit, but the whole thing:

I forgot to put Luongo back in for VAN. Don't get too excited there, chief.

Derek Forbort: 28 points in 42 games, .666 PPG. The mark of the devil. Not bad compared to Logan Couture's 40 in 66 (.606 PPG). Almost caught up to Gormley and Klefbom too!

Can't wait for Jumbo to be back next game, even if it's a home-and-home against LA.
