The Jets were victorious over the Hurricanes thanks in part to Todd Fedoruk's game-winner six minutes into the third. The Capitals handled the Sabres 4-2 and pretty much eliminated them from playoff contention. The shitty Bruins beat the Flyers to maintain their six-point lead over the victorious Lightning. The Panthers and Jets are now tied with identical records for the sixth seed.

The Pens and Habs took care of their lottery pick opponents with ease. In other lottery pick news, the Maple Leafs succeeded at tanking tonight in the battle of Ontario with a 4-2 loss to the Sens.

Out west, the Oilers had no trouble with the Orphanucks. The Wild blew a 2-0 lead to the orphaned Blues, who scored three third period PPGs.
