The dreaded 3-1 lead catches up with the Boston Bruins tonight and it ends their season. Marc Savard's unassisted 6-on-5 tally sends the game to overtime where Dan Boyle's game winning goal puts the Habs in the second round. The Capitals put five past Jack Campbell and need just one more win to dispose of the Jets as the series goes back to Winnipeg for Game Six. The Devils won't go down without a fight, burying half a dozen goals to send the series back to the Garden State.

Top line was asked to play more of a defensive role on the road, was missing in Game 4 but they come back huge in Game 5. 3 points from Savard, Hemsky, and Boyle with Kostitsyn getting in on the OT action. Not Price's night, (although still finished with a 1.99 GAA and 91.7 SPCT) but the offense bails him out. Savard now leading the league in playoff points.

Only one player fell into the minus after 1 round. David Booth, -1, after a rough Game 5.

If Pavelski wants to continue at C, hopefully he can figure out why he's only winning 33 %. Although, looks like we got ripped apart in the faceoff dot as Savard was only 41 % and Backes 43 %.

Colby Cohen led with 19 hits through 5, and let T/G at +9.

I guess your special teams took you right out of the playoffs this year? 0/14 on the PP since Game 2 while giving up a shorty.

Happy to win in 5, first playoff win for the Habs, will await my next opponent.
