Oh right. Individual stats don't matter that much to my playoff team. Can't say the same for your cellar dwellar.

Holy Matt Niskanen! I love how he gets 4 points and a 7 rating.....score 1 for EHM!

Frans almost had a superb first game until the 2 late goals. Oh, well, got the W, more than I can say for Whitney.

Oh hey, KYLE SCORED! WOO!

Since I have five days off until my next game, I should trade Winnik so he can serve his suspension with another team, then trade him back just in time for my next game.

Too bad nobody plays four games in the next five days...

Can you send him to the AHL for the suspension and call up someone else for 4 games?

Sure, I'll take him for Stempniak, and I'll make sure to trade him right back after the suspension no doubt...

Nope, you have to serve time in the NHL.

If I send Winnik down (I'll probably need to if the Luongo trade goes through) then do I still get his cap relief even though he's suspended? Obviously he wouldn't be able to play another NHL game until he serves his suspension by sitting out four games while on an NHL roster, but if I'm sending him down anyway I don't need to wait the four games, right?

I think I'd need an actual hostage, not someone you WANT to get rid of. :D

It's never really come up, but I would rule that sending Winnik down would be cap circumvention.

So I'm forced to carry Winnik until his suspension is served, then?
