Olympic Roster Announcement Thread
Ladies and gentlemen, I am honored to welcome the 12 General Managers who have volunteered their time and effort to manage the teams for our Olympic Tournament. I would like to thank the city of Sochi for its attempt at hospitality, but, really, we're all staying in overpriced Red Roof Inns. The Olympic file, with the real-life tournament schedule, will be posted sometime on Tuesday. The first game is Thursday.
I have asked the GMs to announce their own teams, beginning with Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Sweden.

Dave Andreychuk will take his spot instead.
And yeah, big scorers are fine, but I built the team mostly for physical play and two-way ability. Feel free to criticize if Team Canada doesn't win.

This would make for a fun summer series. 20 teams, and make Russia/Canada/USA b-teams and c-teams from players not chosen.SharksGM wrote:... wha?Parker wrote:Assistant Coach Robert Svehla, Florida Panthers

Reunite Czechoslovakia and the USSR, merge the three German-speaking countries and this could be very interesting. I'm not sure Russia alone has enough depth for a c-team in EHEC or reality, though.Bruins_GM wrote:This would make for a fun summer series. 20 teams, and make Russia/Canada/USA b-teams and c-teams from players not chosen.
Or you could split up Canada regionally. Last time I checked, PEI almost had enough pro players for a full team.
