Bickell offered at 3 yrs (no length was specified, so I guessed).

Makarov/Danis-Pepin only took one yr deals.

Sharp's arb will have to wait til I get back.

An award has been determined in the Patrick Sharp arbitration.

Terms: 4 yrs
GM proposal: 5.4M per; comps: Getzlaf, Doan
Agent proposal: 5.4M per; comps: Marleau, Parise, Richards

I guess a 1.5M raise was the number that both parties had in mind. This is a fair number as it falls below Doan, who is a better player due to his higher CON, 85+ LE, and higher HI attribute but is above Parise who is an inferior defensive player.

Femur, you can accept/reject Sharp at 5.4M for the next four seasons.

I never got Halak's arbitration back.

Pavelec got 2.55M and is a little bit better OA, with lower CON than Halak. Halak is comparable to Pekka Rinne, who got 3.85M, but is a few OA points better with a very similar CON.

Halak should get a raise from the 1.5M. Not that EHM's ratings are all that accurate, but he did have the highest average rating among goaltenders. Halak played well, was well above the median goaltending values in GAA and SV%, and is a step above Pavelec as a starter in my opinion.

How about 3M even for Halak? That work for you? It would seem that 5.5M is about the going rate for a goaltending tandem with a clear cut starter and a clear cut backup, so a couple of goalies worthy of being starters should be paid about the same.

Femur, you can accept/reject Halak at 3M for however many years you want him for.
