Two-ways are irrelevant for underager AHLers. For one, under 25 doesn't have to clear waivers. For another, their salaries don't count towards the AHL cap.

ELCs offered.

Yakupov: 2.5M
Subban: 1.75M
Petterson: 400k, would only take one year offer

Awards have been determined in the Nicklas Grossman and Lubo Visnovsky arbitrations.

Grossman
Length: 3
GM proposal: 1.525M per; comps: Sanguinetti, Z. Michalek
Agent proposal: 2.525M per; comps: Barker, Colaiacovo, Oduya

Grossman turned 28 this past January, so he is barely exempt from the formula, which would have paid him the 2.525M requested by his agent. Two of the comps listed by the agent, Colaiacovo and Oduya, have both been through the arbitration process before. Colaiacovo got 2.25M this year and Oduya got 2.6M last year, but was coming off an overpaid real-life contract.

Grossman's biggest asset is clearly his 82 CON. The Wild do have a solid young defensive corps, and Grossman will be a nice fit there over the duration of this contract. Another nice feature about Grossman is his 76 ST. Unlike most defensive defensemen, Grossman is not inept with the puck, which led to only 32 giveaways. Grossman was a -30, however, but the Wild are a very young group still a year or two away from being a major factor.

The difference in proposals is exactly 1M. Colaiacovo is a good comp, with similar numbers and a lower CON, but had a better season than Grossman, playing on a better team. Grossman is a player with no weaknesses in his game and deserves to be in the 2M range with other similar players. With the 1M difference, meeting in the middle seems fair at 2.025M, slightly over the 2M mark, but it's worthy of the role he will play.

Chris, you can accept/reject Grossman at 2.025M for the next three seasons.

Visnovsky
Length: 2 + TO
GM proposal: 4.7M; comps: Boyle, Markov
Agent proposal: 5.04M; comps: Boyle, Kaberle

The comps that the GM provided are tough to work with. Boyle makes a ton of money and Markov was franchise tagged before Chris joined the league, so he would make 25% more than his listed salary. In my humble opinion, Kaberle is the best comp for Visnovsky. Kaberle is a bit better defensively, with a higher CON, and similar offensive production. Visnovsky will be one of the players helped the most by our veteran players upgrades, specifically his CON bump. Not only will it help slow the regression process, but it should help him contribute more offensively, since that's his strength.

Both sides agree that Visnovsky is overpaid. He doesn't have a bad TA-GA ratio, but he managed just 17 points at even strength in 19 minutes of ice time per game. Visnovsky still gets around the ice pretty well and the CON bump should help with his powerplay numbers, which is his greatest value. Keeping that in mind, and seeing such a small range between the GM and the agent's proposals, it'll be easy to meet around the middle here and put Visnovsky under the 5M mark where he belongs. 4.8M is slightly below the midpoint between the two sides and a 200k gap from Kaberle seems fair given Visnovsky's defensive shortcomings and likely regression over the course of this contract, though that salary is likely even more than Visnovsky would see on the free agent market.

Chris, you can accept/reject Visnovsky at 4.8M for two years plus a team option.

As far as Harding goes, he's in the same area as Pekka Rinne, Ondrej Pavelec, and Jaro Halak. Somewhere in between those guys. The range there is 2.55-3.85M. He's closer to Rinne than Pavelec and probably a little bit better than Halak. I guess 3.5M seems fair for Harding. I never got the arbitration stuff done for Harding, so I'm just going with that.

Josh Harding at 3.5M per for 3 years + TO. Chris, you can accept/reject.
